sorry no idea on what the shiny Rock Ben found but definitely a keeper for now.
I wonder if it's Tar. the Decoy makes me wonder ,
did someone think it was real & Blast it with a shotgun .

Well if you ever get a chance to try some White Castles on a roadtrip, get some LOL.
I think you are right about it being tar. Some guys that MD on the ocean beaches get tar balls from time to time. It smells like motor oil.
