Found this on my property a couple weeks ago. Mohawk Indian village was destroyed by french and Hurons in the 1680's.

Looks a lot newer than 16-1700s to me. What shape is the hole for the handle?? I doesn't have a hand forged look to it.

Nice find and deep too, yours will look nice once it is cleaned up..
Here is one I found in 1985 in mid Missouri West of Booneville, Mo while hunting indian artifacts. Use to be old fort in same area found in the very early 1800s.
