Fresnel lens

I would like to get into melting the fines that I have into larger nuggets for use as jewelry for family and have become interested in obtaining one of those Fresnel lens magnifying glasses. Does anyone have any information on it?

If you're thinking of using one to melt gold, that can be tricky and dangerous, and I'd advise against it. Having said that...

Thank you for the info. I have already tried using a small, hot torch, and THAT is dangerous as well. I'll keep my welding goggles handy!
