After the Father's Day BBQ at the in-laws, I had one hour to get out before dark. Yesterday was my first try at full tones on the Deus, it was frustrating to say the least. I tried again tonight, and I started to understand a bit more. I found these sterling military items along with a wheat penny, bottlecap, and pulltab all within a 14inch radius. I think the bottlecap/pulltab masked these tiny pins in my previous hunts here with the ATPro and Deus in Deus Fast. Before I dug I checked the signals with Deus Fast, and got slightly good yet very weak signals. Back in Full Tones, the good signal was unmistakable and very strong. I'm going to stick with the full tones! The penny in the pic is for size reference.

Congrats on using the Deus to "sneak up" on those pins.

A very seasoned veteran suggested that I use full tones, I tried, but it sounded really busy to me. However, after reading this post, perhaps I should give it another try. Very well done.

Yeah pretty small, but really nice pair of finds.
Maybe a little lemon juice on the wings, "should" get the black off.

Hey J,
Full tones are the only way to go.
But with program 3. (Deus fast)
You are not getting the depth.
If you are interested pm me and ill send you a program that might work out great?
You can change 1 or 2 things for ur site.
Great finds by the way.
George

Nice finds. I dig more iffy signals than I used to especially on older properties.

Nice pins JC - 18 kHz will make those tiny pieces light up for sure but as Vino said you loose depth in 18 kHz, in Deus Fast I change to;

Full tones
Disc 4.2
8 kHz
R2
S -1

Nice silvers, you have an eagle eye and a killer machine to find those!
The penny perspective image surprised me at the size of those medallions! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

After reading your post I remembered a custom full tones program I put in a few months back. I tried it on a spot this morning at a place I've been hunting and found a necklace and 3 earrings and the tiniest earring back ive ever found when basic and Deus fast didn't read them.

Yeah especially if you can get through it sounding busy as CT said. Will take getting used to that's for sure.

Thanks, I couldn't believe how tiny the small one was! Was only a few inches deep, but it was even hard to locate with the ProPointer haha.

Would you soak the wings in the lemon juice and then toothbrush?

Yeah, it's awesome how such a tiny target can be such a good signal with the full tones...

Yeah lemon juice for a couple of mins. then brush, then repeat if necessary.

EDIT, I guess both say RCAF, I at first thought the wings were CAF only.
Found in close proximity, no doubt belonged to the same person ?
