HaHa!!! Rich, you are a trip .. Those FuYu persimmons look a little different than the persimmons that grew on the tree in my backyard,,,, hell, there might be 25 different kinds of persimmons!!!! I know that grandma, and my golden retriever liked to eat them, but I found them to be rather disgusting ;D... Good luck, Gpurs..

Well Muddy, I tasted one, and wasn't impressed with sweetness... and that's as far as it got, this last time around... It was NOT astringent. Is that the word? ...Like the normal kind of persimmon I'm accustomed to eating.

And they are totally yukky, unless baked into cookies, and then they are GREAT!

OK GPURS! I don't think I like 'em well enough to try that many different kinds!
They're just growing on a tree down the street! at the redrum house.
Up the street the other way we had pomegranites but the people axed the tree!
I couldn't figure out why. They got pears and apples all over the place and eat none of them I can tell, but they axed the pommie! Oh well!
