Alpha Gal(Galactic) is another carried by the Lone Star. Damn near killed a friend of mine after eating red meat, prior to finding out that he had contracted it. He says that you'd be surprised how quickly eating only fish and chicken gets old. Thanks Creskol for the heads up.

Research in Connecticut confirmed tick populations that carry the viruses are exploding due to warmer winter weather conditions.
I know a person who lost vision in one eye and another with immune disease
It’s sad that to go out in the yard etc one has to wear so much PPE
Spraying chemicals on clothes may help but not guaranteed

Even though I had spray on, I found two of those little buggers crawling on me yesterday after walking through the woods. An out-of-control deer population doesn't help the situation any.
