ASHTON SOLDIER IS INJURED IN WRECK
ONE KILLED AND 17 WOUNDED IN WRECK OF TROOP
Texarkana, Texas, May 21.---The wreck of a north bound St. Louis and Southwestern troop train near Garland, Ark., today which resulted in the death of one trainman and the injury of 17 other persons, 12 of them soldiers, was due to the removal of a "fish plat bolt" which allowed the rails to spread, it was announced by the railroad company.
One soldier Private Oliver C. Shands of St. Louis, was still missing tonight. It was thought possible his body was under the wreckage, all of which had not been cleared away.
The troops were members of the 619th aerial squadron. In the list of seriously injured soldiers is:

One soldier, Pvt. Oliver C. Shands of St. Louis, was still missing Tuesday night. It was thought possible his body was under the wreckage.
The troops were members of the 619th aerial squadron.
A. B. McAllister of Pine Bluff, Ark., engineer, was the trainman killed.

Pvt. James H. Clough, Ashton, S. D.
Cook Floyd D. Hankins, Silver Valley, Ore.
