Biggest plus for the 44 is ground balance, with the 300 you are stuck with only one fixed setting. This limits the use to certain areas with good soil.

i found a 300 for 254$ comes with a waterproof submersible coil and a display cover. ive read more bad reviews for the f44 than i have for the 300, thats my biggest thing.

Does appear that you have already made up your mind. I owned both and I still own the 44. Enjoy your choice.

Out of the 2 you listed, I'd go for a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro. :tongue3: But seriously it has many of the features of higher end models from other name brands. At least look at a few videos of the BH LRP. I think you'll like what you see. They were priced over $400 in 2015. Best Bang for the Buck in the price range.

lol its not that, i found so many with my little bounty hunter 101. i love finding em because in my town there was a railroad that was dug up in the 80s after it was abandoned, ive found some that where over 100 years old. its really cool dont get me wrong. the f44 so far is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better at differentiating at what is trash and what isnt
