That's what I found today ... well, it was given to me by my father. Didn't know he had it when I was telling him about someone detecting in the neighbor's yard. Then he says I've got an old one if you want. "It's hell on batteries, but it worked last time I used it." Three 9-volts later, I've got a detector. Now I just need some daylight.

Thanks for the well wishes. Trying to figure out where to go to after I've exhausted the yard. We have a school close by, and couple of city parks. One step at a time though.

From the land of the Bluenose.....I have 5 Freedom 3 Plus machines and like the 2 they take 3 9 volt batteries. You should be getting 20-25 hours on each set. I change when i get 2 rings. Good luck!
