This geofact actually appears to be useful as a craftsman's grinding tool. There are two different kinds of stone in this item: the top is a multi-colored felsic rock that joins to a semi-circular abrasive stone with a fine grain at the bottom. If you look at it the wrong way it can appear to be crazy face, like a cat. That is an illusion (really). Maybe we can see workings along the circular bottom edge where the two different stones meet. Another illusion (perhaps real this time) is the outcropping or grip at the top edge that somewhat resembles a bird. Anyway, the point is, I think it is a finishing tool. Forget the animals.
