I paid for a geology course (introductory) a few years ago at a state
university . Jacksonville State in Alabama . They conducted a few field
trips within the state that were really good . One of the best things
that came out of it besides just the tutorial aspect for me is the
relationship built with the earth sciences department at the university
and access to the data library . If you can do similar at a university
in your state I would highly recommend it .
