Hi to all, I am new here, so hello to everyone first.

I`ve just got this painting from UK. It was reframed somewhere during 1980`s I guess, and the board was supported with newish, modern pice of protective board. When that board was taken out, the actual painting back was visible.

Painting is on "Rowney academy board" that was made somewhere between1862-1881, judging by the double Rowney address (52 Rathbone Place and 29 Oxford Street).
Painting is signed Geo. (I think)) Brown, most likely George Brown. 12 pounds price (quite a money in 1880`s) and there is, probably the title of the painting, "Nevada st. Bootle". I guess he talk about the vilage/town - Bootle near Manchester UK.

Not John George or George Loring Brown I suspect, unfortunately, but it would be nice to know which one made this painting. If anyone have an idea, let me know please.

Few photos. Thanks.

Regards!
Marijan
