georgia coin hunting

I find occasional silver. Last trip I found a barber and merc dime, a barber quarter, and a couple other things. Where are you in Ga.? I'm in SW Ga.

:wink: i went to a park sunday and find a 72 dime & 79 quarter you got to know were to look kdismuke1 :thumbsup: you cannot lay on the grass i got your phone call i will call you by the weekend :thumbsup:

30 sumthin years ago a couple of us with Bounty Hunter Red Barons worked an OLD park in "downtown" Macon...half dimes/2 cent pieces/large cents & barbers abounded.

Is there still an old public park there?

there are still many small parks in downtown Macon. The large park is Central city park. Is this the one you are referring to? IF so, It is still there.

Fishy49...That is probably it...It was large enough that we never interfered with one another. Only worked it that once, but dug some serious keepers outta there. Sold one coin for $80+...Hog Heaven back then!
