WTG PBG, What is the green coin? Is it a clad quarter? We almost all started out with hunts like this. Keep at it, it only gets better.

Good show PBG. That Loco-Digger gentleman is correct.

I started two years ago, and slowly got a little more each time I went out to hunt. As I hunted more and more, I got better and better with the machine. Took about 5 months to find a silver coin. For me, that was the turning point, all of the fruitless effort seems to finally be paying off. Everyone is different, but if you are able to hunt, and enjoy it, then it will only get better with more time under your belt.

My hunts started off like that 28 yrs. ago. Keep at it, hunt the older places & you will find the older "stuff". It will get more interesting. Best of luck.

Nothing wrong with that. Looks like you got a '67 penny, best year ever made... If nothing else you get some fresh air and excerise, if you're lucky you get some history, silver or gold!

I've had worse days , keep at it , take Trezurehunters advice hunt the oldest places you can find and it will definitely pay off. Good luck to you
