fell down at the WW2 air base here in town.:BangHead: The warden yelled lets go this place is hunted out. On the way back to the car my Garret started singing penny penny. Back at the car my wife asked well let me see what you found. Told her no and we went home. At home i got on line and she asked me what are you looking up. Ohh nothing just looking up the value of a 1909 S penny. hunted out huh. :laughing7:

Congrats! I found one 2-3 years back. After a long unproductive day several doorknock denials and skunked at the local park, I had about an hour of daylight left and a neighbor let me hunt his yard, and one good coin find saved the day! That is the 4th lowest mintage of the Lincoln Wheaties! Congrats to you! Now where are the pictures?

I hope that there is a VDB on the back, congrats on a coin that I would love to find, even in it's condition it is worth a good $50. I can not wait to see photos. All my wheat cents are common and toasted. Hopefully it's friend, the 1909 s Indian head cent will be united with the 1909 s wheat cent you found soon.

As I remember, yur older than dirt...:occasion14:

Air bases during WWII were Army Bases...eventually SAC Bases and now most active bases are Air Force...

If you ever get to Vandenberg AFB, try md'ing around the Road (Runway) Kill Snack Bar...

Vandenberg began life as a army tank base...
