I ran into my friend, Henry, at church Sunday. He was eager to give me three bottles he had rescued from a city excavation project he had worked on last week. One is a half pint "Lockshore Farms, Inc., Golden Guernsey Products, Kalamazoo, MI" milk bottle. One is a 2.5 oz. bottle with the remains of some kind of wire/cork thing in it. My favorite, is a thin medicine (?) bottle. The seam goes all the way through the lip on that one. The neck is so narrow it was a pistol to clean and I would like to still get it better. There were tiny hair roots all inside and using water and agitating BB's inside worked the best, a tip I learned from a fellow TNetter. :) When Henry gave the bottles to me he said I could junk them if I wanted. :o No way!
Can anyone give me an idea of era or what they might have been used for?

HH and thanks for looking,
Michiganne

Nice ones Anne! I'm guessing condiment, patent medicine, (and milk). Looks like a mix of dates, maybe 1920-medicine, 1930-condiment, and late 40's milk bottle. D

Nice gifts Anne. The bottle on the left is probally a shoe polish, the the middle one is a cream bottle an the last one is an extract bottle. Circa 1915 to the 1930's. They are machine made bottles so they are not any earlier. Nice bottles though. You can't beat free stuff.
