Bet the beach is getting a little chillie willie around this time. Is sea glass a natural glass?

No, it's manmade glass from broken stuff from a year or two old to centuries old. Makes great jewelry when wrapped with sterling silver wire. Comes in lots of colors, red, cobalt blue, yellow and orange are tough colors. I have been fortunate enough to find some of each, except orange. The broken glass gets tumbled in the surf, and gets a nice frosty appearance to it.

Well done Smokey.
I think the old thick walled bottles like Coca Cola or bottles of similar thickness make the best sea glass.
Being tumbled for 20 to sometimes 50 years will remove any sharp edges while producing a natural frosted effect. Yep,, some chunks can be turned into a pricey pendant.
Got pictures of the chunks you found??

In Maryland it's not cold yet. No jacket needed today. Ground hasn't even thought about freezing yet.

Sea glass, that is. Went to a new beach, just a few modern coin drops. Got some nice pieces of sea glass suitable for jewelry. Two shark's teeth, but they're tiny, not worth a picture. But I was outside.
you can tell I don't get to the beach much.. Sounds pretty cool..Never know what might wash up on a coast either
