It was a somewhat frustrating day on the old farm. I'm still trying to pull out all of the iron to find the better stuff around the house plot. I found some more cast iron, I think one piece is a leg off of the old stove. It was mostly nail after nail after nail...then finally a cool find that encouraged me to keep swing'n and dig'n.
A gold pocket watch minus the face and back. It still needs more cleaning so I'll post a better pic when I get all the rest of the stuff cleaned up a bit.

Nice find on the gold.

Once the iron is gone then the coppers and silvers peek through better.

Which Coil were you using? The 3x5 might give you better separation than the 9.5 with all the iron in the ground.

Yes...I am still using the 9.5 but I did ask Santa in my letter for a 3x5!

What a great find. Congrats to you on the gold you lucky dog. ;D I've found a lot of pocket watch parts, but nothing that nice yet.
