Hello,

I got up today and found that 5,000 Barrels of oil a day is being pumped into the ocean... :icon_scratch: This is not cool, at all the amount of oil already in the ocean is enough to cause a national disaster off some of our coastlines. >:( If this continues at this rate it could be around the world in no time... :o Our nice hunting beaches in FL are already on a path of doom. Not fun hunting on oil slick beaches I imagine. :dontknow: The sea life and sea food from our coastlines is going to be threatened and other animals are going to suffer too. :'( This is much worse than what happened in the past. :o Your food is at risk, your hunting beaches at risk too.

Here is the problem...

So I'm asking for some attention to this matter. :help: They can use Human hair and pet hair for soaking up the oil. :headbang: They use the hair and make Matt's that can soak up lots of oil. :icon_thumleft:

Here is the solution a link to explain more...

Also Hay/Straw, Pine shaving and other grass mixes can soak up oil or even scoop up the oil.

Here is a link for that.

And the other stuff !!

So I'm asking for your help. Please use the links or google how you can donate or help clean this mess up. :notworthy: Before it distroys our oceans, marine life, our metal detecting beaches, Our foods, and many other things. :o :icon_scratch: Also if you know farmers who have extra hay/straw then please try and talk to them about the good use it could have.

Thanks a lot guys, :notworthy:
Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D

That lady is absolutely right!

We should shave off all our body hair to save the Gulf of Mexico!

I'll help. If they would listen, I would call the Dutch Gov't. at my expense & ask them
to supply the skimmers that this Gov't. administration turned down on DAY 3 because
the crisis wasn't big enough for them to use it's full potential. >:(

I just saw this post I did'nt watch the vid's yet but .....
They can use Human hair and pet hair for soaking up the oil.

Well, how many hairdressers and animal groomers are in the U.S. 1000's

Also if you know farmers who have extra hay/straw then please try and talk to them about the
good use it could have.

How many farmers are in the U.S 1000's

Seems to me the Government / BP has the way to contact all of them. Pay the farmers
more than what the going price is for hay / straw. Set up drop off or pickup areas in
every state.

How many hospitals are in the U.S 1000's
They shave an area before they cut for surgical procedures. Then it all gets trashed ?

just my 2 cents worth :(

NOT TO WORRY!

Our President who cares so very much for the USA is going to take over and fix things!
I saw him say that on TV.
Was worried before.

Wonder what they do with oily hair and straw?
Cannot burn it - against EPA rules. :icon_scratch:

Hay works on the shore line its been used many times all over for oil spills but our main concern now is Hurricanes in the Gulf this season and there isn't much we can do to stop those pushing all that oil onshore lets just hope it,s a very quite season

Hate to ruin your day this day, but I think it's way more than 5,000 barrels.

I understand hay/straw/hair can pick up the oil.
Onshore or off maybe.
Then what happens?

Let's say I have beachfront property and oil balls/crud is coming in.
I put out straw (don't waste hay) and collect most of the crud.
Now I have cruddy straw.
What kind of regulations and permits do I have to do/get to take this somewhere?
Can I just burn it on my property? I don't think so. Legally.
EPA and other folks would haul me to court and fine me.

If there were a place to take it without permits where it could be used to heat generators and produce power that would be a good thing.

Make lemonaide so to speak.

The scary part, there's still about a thousand more time bombs just like this one still in operation without any safe guard in place against the same type of disaster. It's madness! :dontknow:

Most the oil can be rung out or pressed out of the Hair/Hay. :icon_thumleft: :headbang: This is not the problem anymore, we have lots of hair. :hello2: They have warehouses full of hair and fur. :notworthy: The only problem now is we have no one to make the hair/fur into the mats that pick up the oil. :icon_scratch: :dontknow: :help:

Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D

What can be done and what is being done are 2 different things.
Somebody has to make money on this else nothing will be done.
Watch for new laws stating "XYZ" Company has a variance on gov. regulations.

would be nice to combine them...

What do you mean ? Its important we understand each others ideas. I think ideas are great ,the more people talk about this the more ideas come along to help. Understand everyone this is really bad its not like a normal oil spill. Where you have just a limited amount. That spills out in a short time. This is going to be like that but at a constant. Imagine an oil tanker with a constant spill of oil for months. Until they can try some fixes....

Keep @ it and HH !! :D ;D
