Goin to check out East Fork for tge first time

Hey all, the wife and I are headed north this weekend, and I was curious if anyone wanted to point me in the right direction? She is not the outdoorsman I am, so we will hopefully not have to venture too far... 1/2 mile..... Mile? I don't suppose I can find flour gold near the parking lot?! Also where would be the best/ nearest place to get a hotel

Just started catching her interest. So wanna make it short sweet and fun.... Kinda like taking the kids fishing the first time
