Went to the beach the second day in a row. Got some clad and some sea glass.

Went a little out of the area I normally hunt and started getting more clad and fishing sinkers. I had what sounded like a top to a Coke bottle or some such solid aluminum, and out popped this here ring! Talk about shock!

13.25 grams marked 14k, white gold with three rows of diamonds (i tested them and they're real).

This is the BIGGEST ring I have ever found, and also the heaviest and also the only ring with DIAMONDS on it!

HAPPY DANCE!!!!! IMG_1213.JPG The shell volunteered to hold it.

It is scrap price. You put the weight in grams and the karat and this site tells you the rest,

Ultrafast Live Scrap Gold Calculator [USD] from Dendritics

Sending it to ARA will take 2% off which is 6.56. However, if you sell it to somebody it is worth at least double that.

I've dealt with ARA and Midwest in the past- but ARA now says they only deal with commercial businesses- Do you think they would count a treasure hunting 'business'? That would be nice, I liked them. :coffee2:

Fortunately I don't sell what I find. I went back to the spot the ring was found and the spot is now 4' out in the water. Did find a bunch of clad and enough sinkers for all of the 2017 fishing season. Again.
