Thats an awsome find! On April 29, 2019 , I was metal detecting In the woods behind our house. I found a 1914 D Barber quarter in EF - 45 condition! May I point out there was never a house in those woods. There were no roads there eather. How it got there? I have no idea. Probably a hunter dressed like davy croket took his double barrel shotgun into the wilderness to get dinner. He fired his two shots ( Im guessing because I found 2 Remington U.M.C. Co shells which were made from 1911 - 1914 afew feet away) and got a deer. While picking up the deer, his paycheck from the butcher fell out of his pocket. It rested in the highly asidic soil of PA for 105 years untill 14 year old Gavin, who was looking for shotgun shells, discoverd the amzing find. I have been collecting coins for 4 years and I know to never clean a coin. I took it home and I ran some luke warm water on it to get the dirt off. It it took me 2 hours to carefully pick out the dirt from the details with a tooth pick. The coin still has most of its original luster and its my top find!
