Dug this interesting little thing today. It was ringing a strong 12-36 at 5 inches on the ctx. I was thinking, ok... Another Lincoln penny. I decided to dig it anyway. I pulled the plug out and stuck the pin pointer in the hole and couldn't find it. I then scanned the plug and found it. I thought wth, a melted pice of lead. So I stuck it in the pouch anyway. Continued on swinging. Found 4 wheats, 5 clad penny's and 2 dimes and a bucking ball. Anyway, when I got home I decided to clean everything and got to the melted lead thingy, and the more I cleaned it the more yellow I could see. I have no idea if its gold or not, but it's not metallic. It's really heavy and the more I polish it the more it looks like gold. The bottom is flat and the rest is rounded, like maybe someone melted some gold or something.

I think you meant to say magnetic? With the color in the first image I'd say brass. HH

Lol... Yup non-magnetic. That's what I meant. It could be brass, but I'm gonna take it to a jewelry store tomorrow and get it tested. Fingers crossed...

I had a gold crown put in one of my upper molers that your item almost looks like. It's hard to tell, as the size looks just slightly bigger than what a molar would be. If it is dental gold, the jeweler should be able to determine. It seems like the bottom of it is filled in with a dark composite just like a normal crown would.
