gold nail???

Hunted an old yard and after getting a silver rosie, a very toasted 1901 V nickel I got a deep 45 on the AT Pro. Dug the plug and a gold color was smiling at me. Appears to be a nail ring? Not a single mark in it

Now that's cool! Dug a lot of nails but not a gold "nail ring" , get it tested, photos and coming out of the ground like that, looks like gold, but gold tester only way to be sure. Awesome!!! I'm sure it's gold, best of luck and enjoy. HH

A steady 45 on the AT Pro. Will get it tested by this weekend. The home owner says it's not anything she or any family member owns. It's got some weight to it and most pennies and nickels in the area don't fare to we'll in the soil there. I sure hope it's gold.

It's a gold nail ring...either a blacksmiths ring or a carpenter, I've seen something similar before. Unsure of the age though but regardless it's a great find and probably 10k!!

Mikecoy, That is a fantastic ring, congratulations! 45 is right in the pocket for solid gold, in that size and weight, for our ATPros. Just my take as to the design...the nail may represent the nails used to hang Jesus on the cross, i.e., it is a Christian-themed ring. Sub

I found a really nice and heavy mans nugget ring that rang in at a 46 on my AT Gold so the number is consistent with gold for those detectors all my gold rings have been in a range between 46 to 51.
