I've asked this before and wasnt satisfied with the answer "stubborn" anyway. everyone looks for gold in the streams because the force of water/erosion over time has washed it down the mountains to our grubby hands. My thought is that the force of the water and erosion to the soil are at their weakest toward the top of hills/mountains because the water has'nt the volume yet to go balls to the wall and move much more than soil which is great I would think. Anyway, my wandering mind is telling me to climb up high with my MXT and find the nuggets. I live in Fl. so I cant do it for awhile but it makes sense to me...any takers
