SARANAC, Mich. (AP) -- A golf course groundskeeper recently stumbled onto something unexpected on the greens: A tooth from a 10,000-year-old mammoth. Groundskeeper Patrick Walker found the 10-pound tooth Tuesday when he was on the greens about 30 miles east of Grand Rapids at Morrison Lake Country Club.

And I'm sure someone else has taken ownership by now. I learned long ago. Any follow-up story?

Good story. Imagine, a tooth that weighs 10 lbs! Thanks for posting.

Interestingly, an elephants tusk is actually a tooth and could weight upwards from 80 to 120 lbs or more...

Other animals with tusks include the Wild Boar, Walrus, Hippo, Narwhales and Whales...even had the ancient Mastadon, Mammoth and Saber Toothed Tigers...
