Went out for another late night run at the beach. I really think it works out better when there are little to no people. You are able to access ALL parts of the beach and not dodge vacationers and kids with your coil and scoop! Some of the late night drunks are funny though and this year is the first time I have seen the local PD out patrolling in a 4 wheeler ATV and checking up on/rousting out all the couples who might be "hooking up" on the beach. I call it "Coppus Interruptus" lol

All the tgts were again down near the bottom of the slope, nothing was up high but sand. There was plenty of change and trash to keep me busy but it was worth digging some of that crap to get to the better stuff! Three of the rings are silver (one of which is gold plated and thew me for a bit, it looked good but rang up as a 19 on the Equinox so I was pretty skeptical until I got home and confirmed it as silver, marked on the inside too as 925) and one little gold. It's a small 14K at 1.3 grams but gold is gold! I'll take it!

Nice finds. I too prefer night for beach hunts. The coral that the rings are sitting on is similar to what are called Petosky stones here. It could polish up nicely.

Yeah, Ive heard of that stuff! Never knew that piece was! Not sure where I found it.. May have been up in Hampton on Grandview Beach a few years ago. I just like displaying the nicer stuff on some cool marine backgrounds.

How do ya polish something like that up?

Big gold or small gold, as long as it makes into the scoop I’m a happy camper :icon_thumleft: Congrats to you and keep reeling them in.
