I got a new permission this morning in a neighboring town. My first signal was the 1968 Kennedy Half Dollar (1965-1969 Kennedy Halves were 40% silver, not 90%). Even though it's only 40% silver, I was shocked at how nice it looked when it came out of the ground. I also found a 1915 Canadian Silver Quarter along with seven Wheaties (oldest was 1919).

I then found two rabies dog tags. The round one was dated 1940 (on the back) and the oval one is 1969. I also found a nice "Bull Durham" pendant that is stamped on the back, "Guaranteed 14k gold plated". Of course, the gold plating is long gone. The last thing I found was a nice pennant that has two dogs on it (no precious metal though).

Overall not a bad day. I have had worse :laughing7: Coins7.jpg Coins8.jpg Coins9.jpg

Your 1915 quarter is very scarce - second lowest mintage since 1900. Congratulations on a great find!

Great variety of finds. I like those dog tags. If you ever run across one, don't forget, that the 1970 Kennedy is also a 40 % silver coin. I see you mentioned 1965 - 69.

Cool hunt, congrats! :icon_thumleft: Those Bull Durham charms are really cool. I was told they were gold plated and could be found in cigarette packs around 1913.
