help with this rock

Hello,
I am new to the rock world. Actually not new to collecting rocks but identifying them.
I have been picking up rocks for a long time just because I like them.
I just dug this one up and was wondering exactly what it is. Found San Antonio, Texas
Thanks for your help

Alaskan requests help with identification

The stone is a deep brownish purple. The second one is a light tan, which looks to be covering white quartz with silver streaks. Found in Little Matsu River at Hatcher Pass, Alaska 20191108_194950.jpg . 20191108_195026.jpg
