Some very interesting finds you have there.

I like the gun collection. The mini flint lock is very nice.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ray, I brought out some more for you. The Atomic Disintegrator is a prized one, but it's totally fubar and missing grips. Also cast iron elephant bank.

where abouts are you located and what kind of places did you find all those older items keys and such?
Is that a bottle cap that someone welded or soldered to make a cap?

The Atomic Disintegrator .

Now, that is one unusual find. ;D

Never seen anything like it.

Ray notice the Atomic Disintegrator is set at 400. Anything over 400 would be lethal to most alien life.

Reverend, I found these in and around Watertown NY. Old parks, old football fields, old baseball fields, old foundations, old fairgrounds/circus grounds/carnival grounds, old public gathering places, old swimming/fishing holes, old beaches, old horse race tracks, old hotels, old tavern sites, old schools, old playgrounds, old sliding hills, old ski hills, old camps, old campgrounds, I even hunted an old abandoned ski jump used in the twenties and thirties. Think old places, and try to find the ones not beat to death. Which is very tough nowadays, but they are out there.

That steel bottlecap, it's original in form, and the only one I have ever seen. I am sure others out there have seen ones like this.

Hey Gleaner Thanks for the Keen insight! I have found a few neat items in (my relative novice 2 years) but not as many older things as I"d like! I did however find some signs of an old summer camp in the woods close to home That I will surely put on the to do list this summer!

Ps Love your avatar!! I grew up with that print over my bed!

Can you disintegrate politicians with the disintegrator, or are they out of range on that? Just wondering.

Tonight I was going ten mph for forty five minutes coming home from work thru one of our famous white-out lake effect blizzards coming off eastern Lake Ontario, check out Syracuse NY doppler radar, the main bands of snow are getting 4+ inches per hour. Cars off the road everywhere. But, once I broke thru that it was clear and dry and 75 mph on good ole Interstate route 81. What I'm trying to say is that I'm a bit too frazzled to respond to you guys but I will soon, gleaner.

Just checked out the doppler it's clear now but from 4 to 9 Eastern time the area got close to two feet of the white wrath. Only pics can show the terrible price we pay for living near eastern Lake O

Reverend, I like the painting The Gleaners, by Millet circa 1857, it portrays the disparity between dirt poor worker-slaves and the rich land owners. The gleaners are trying to get the last bits of grain, kinda like metal detectorists trying to get the last bits of silver. The one gleaner looks like she is operating a metal detector which is interesting.

mpwilburino, thanks for the detective work on the disintegrator and matchbox items.

ole possum, I show my ring finds since 95, clearly I'm a coinshooter, but the rings do show up once in a while. I envy the guys who get 100+ rings a season, this seems impossible to me. My sister claimed a heavy gold band, I cant post pics. I also found and returned a 1971 class ring to a lady, she was absolutely blown away when I got it to her.

Nevada coyote, they dropped the program in the fifties so I dont think so. I hear others are working on it.

clovis97 I pulled the little indy car from a one room schoolhouse it was totally beat, the driver's head was crushed in and some metal was missing I am trying to restore it with epoxy putty and patience, I wish I could find pics of originals to get the paint scheme correct.

Woodland I do not have a clue what that brass hat thing is.

Regard to all! gleaner

What's wrong with us, keeping all that junque and crappe'? I do the same thing, got a large strong box full of it, but just can't make myself throw it away. I rarely even look at it anymore. But when I do, I can distinctly remember digging up every darn scrapt of it. Maybe it's just the memories? Monty
