Hey guys, been alongggggg time. I went to a private house today n the weather was great. Grabbed a 1929 merc, a few wheats n alot of clad. Also found a tootsie toy. But the big find of the day was these 3 little heavy coins. All 3 say QUAKER on them. 2 of them are identical but the 3rd is diff. Im kinda wondering if these were coins used by the quakers or if im overthinkin this. I found all 3 of these in the exact same 2 foot area. I have yet to clean them off with water until i find out what they are for sure. :BangHead: If ANYONE knows please comment. I have never ever seen anything like these so mayb someone out here has!!! Thanks Guys Greg ps. im super excited!!! :blob7:

Nice hunt. From what I hear those are lead seals for sacks.

Would they have been stamped on both sides?

Nice Seals.

I'm Thinking "Quaker state" not Oats ;D
But Bales of Oats make more sense.

Good to see your Hunting again too :icon_thumleft:

I live very close to an international US/CAN train station and tracks, and I find a multitude of those lead bale seals. I'm sure there are collectors of those, and probably endless varieties. It looks like you had a fun day, nice Merc...
