Yesterday was such perfect digging weather that I had to get out somewhere. I went to a pasture that held a couple mid 19th century house sites. The spot has given up nine military buttons dating from the War of 1812 to the Civil War and at least 100 flat buttons. So obviously I'm hoping to get lucky and find another military button. I did find nine flat buttons (one with a flower pattern), an intact suspender clip, and a broken suspender clip that would have been pretty cool with the star pattern. Not much, and hardly post-worthy, but still a nice day to be out digging holes in the fall sunshine 8-)

That's quite a few buttons Steve. I really like that starburst one in the first pic. Maybe the silver will come next time.

That many relics is a good day for anyone Steve!!! How did the wrist hold up this time? HH, Q.

Quindy, Four hours of pretty constant digging, no problem with the wrist, but my feet were pretty sore for some reason :icon_scratch:

Digging flat buttons around here is difficult to do, so I think your post is awesome! :icon_thumright:
