Was at an old spot today but the silver and gold eluded me! At least today I did get some "rusty gold" in that picker talk :laughing7: Was hunting near an old horse racing area, there are also railroad tracks about 300 yards away.

Ever find a railroad spike with a date? I have one around here someplace. 1892 I believe. It was made in the casting.

Finding something is always better than nothing.

HH!

Haven't found many railroad spikes in a good while, till today, don't know where my old finds are at right now to look for a date, will try cleaning these up to see if something shows.

Nice Kono , the scrappers haven't dismantled it yet? Actually the track out here has a freight train every 30 minutes or so it seemed yesterday afternoon. Had to stop hunting once in a while so I didn't "miss any good stuff" due to the noise :laughing7:
