Looks good. I use the vinegar method also. Never has been a problem getting all things iron to clean up.

Are the "after" pics the result of only soaking in vinegar or did you wire brush it too? Very good results treb.

Are the "after" pics the result of only soaking in vinegar or did you wire brush it too? Very good results treb.
I forgot to add that, I knocked the crust/heavy stuff off first, and then I wire brushed it with a stainless steel wire brush once a day. I only changed the vinegar once during the seven days.

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting on my thread. I was given the idea from Q who got it from Tnmountain, thank's guys!

Those came out great Brad. :thumbsup: I tried the vinegar method too on an old padlock and it came out great.
