:hello:

It's really hard now to find land to search :'( we have one good field that is due to be ploughed for spuds so we went and checked it :P
Dam it was still in stubble, so we went looking :-\ found a couple of late planted barley fields but they were barron apart from a few musket balls and Vicky coinage. We headed back to the stubble field and decided to give that another bashing :P but nothing showed so in a last ditch effort we hopped the fence and give the Paddock field another look, Michael had had a Saxon Brooch of this Grass field 2 years back :o
This field saved the day :headbang: a few roman Bronzes, a nice topless Medieval thimble and my 14th Hammered of the year, my first of a Grass field :headbang:

What is that Saxon looking bronze coin or is it dark silver? (PS. noticed its an Roman immitation)

I tried hard but the hammered were not to be found today.

I'm out on a limb with that little coin :icon_scratch: it's Bronze and has a Romanized Obverse but the reverse is throwing me :help:

Yeah, it through me to begin with, not seen that reverse type before, but the head is of someone like Tetricus (270s) which were copied locally.

I'm spending a lot more time this year getting more permissions and fields and it has already started to pay off. Come harvest I am already going to be spoilt for choice, but I don't know about quality yet. Here's hoping :icon_thumleft:.
