I know these pictures are not the best but let me describe them to you.. they are at a site in Nevada in the side of a hill where you can find so many chips and scrapers that you just leave them there as part of the landscape. The scrub junipers have rings of stones under them flattened out as sleeping platforms and there are a few stone cairn looking things too. Then there is this thing... It is out in the open, has a ring of stones around it, and then it has this crooked cross looking thing as a design in the middle.... So what do you think? grave site or something else?

Either that or a place to make a campfire. Run the detector over it. Might be something else buried there.

You may be able to probe it but if a grave best to leave it alone. Could just be an ancient refuse pile...
