Gravel Top Hill - Day 2...

Frosty & foggy all day & the first time I used my gloves most of the hunt. 4 hours to me & just over 2 hours for Dad.
No silver today, but we can't be too far off with the farthings turning up.
Best find of the day was a section of a Viking 11th C Mount - Urnes Style.

The Farthing has some good detail on it still. The Viking mount is a very nice find for sure, I'm still wishing of something Viking as it's high on the wish list of wants.

They seem to turn up in the most random places, I've never found what I consider to be a Viking Site.

I think you mean the Royal Farthing which is a nice one of James I. The halfpenny token is near blank.
