Here is a frame of PF's from the Great Basin found years ago on private property. Middle point is 2 1/2' long for comparison.

Those are so very cool man. I think I see one type that I recognize in there @ 9:00 near the center pointing inward...

Thanks and Yes Tdog, that’s an Elko..... there are several Elkos in that Frame. Another one at 1 o’clock and one right under it and others nearby

Awesome frame! What is the material of the one in the lower left hand corner, third one to the right. It appears almost like gold!

Thanks TC, it’s some kind of a high grade Chert with a Jasper-ish strip running thru it. There really aren’t any quarry sites in the area except some basalt outcrops. All the high grade Cherts and Jaspers come from baseball sized cobbles that get exposed in the ravine bottoms. Besides the Basalt and Obsidian you rarely find any 2 made from the same material.

Very cool frame and to the untrained eye quite a few different types, so cool.
Is that a corner tang in the very middle?

Outlaws25....... That middle point is an Elko that I believe was used as a knife and quite possibly used in a similar manner as Tang knives

Great collection proves there is color other than black out in the Great Basin .
