I have been looking at this spot for years. Finally, they tore down the building a few months ago. I detected the spot right after they tore the building down and there was so much trash I could not get any good signals. I went back today with ny Equinox 800 and a small coil and I'm glad I did!. Got a 1898 Barber dime and a 1900 IHP along with some other cool things.

I think It's a suspender buckle but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone can I.D. it for me. It's brass. The last photo is the back. It says "Pat. Pending".

Luv those old-town urban demolition tear-out sites. And good to hear from a fellow Californian !

Great stuff, I would be waiting for that house tear down as well...The item in the last two pics is a early 1900’s women’s sash buckle or sometimes called a butterfly buckle. If you found the other half the two sides would come together in the shape of a butterfly. Here is one I found in a 1912 site C02BA238-73AD-4686-89B3-9BF72B21BA55.jpeg
Great job, go back and find the other half of the buckle and get a few more silvers!
