I got off work early today, and decided to go fishing. Bass would not hit at all and water was really low . At the mouth of the river, I found a good spot to beach my boat. You know what was next! Hunt was on. Here are my finds. My second bead ever!!!

I have been hunting what I think may be an old site or at least an early site. It has some scrapers like yours. Made quick to do a fast job but very sharp. It that ole river site old you think? Just noticing some of those bases. Nice hunt sir.

Thanks. I know that this river has paleo pieces. The piece that is shown as my avatar pic was found there. Newer stuff is also around though.

Nice finds. Would it be possible to get a closer picture of the bottom piece from the picture with the broken points?

Thanks
Joe

I think this is the piece you wanted a closer look at. It has a nice flute on one side, but I'm scared to say what it is.

It is soooo hard to get to. You can only get in when water levels are down. I beached my triton Tr-21 to hunt there. It tore the keel guard off of my boat, so these pieces are going to cost me about $200.00 .

I'm still not sure if the top part was reconstructed. It looks like a broken Clovis with a spoke shave? Still, I'm pretty happy with it.

For sure! Kinda looks like an ancient impact fracture.
