Greetings from Spain!

Hello everybody! I'm English but have spent most of my working life in Spain. My company seconded me to our Spanish operation in 1975 for 3 or 4 years, but when the time came to go back to the UK, I decided to stay on here, and have never regretted my decision.

Retired since 2006, I have been detecting, on and off, since the late 1960s, and am interested in all European coinage from medieval times onwards, but prinipally English, French and Spanish coins. Roman coins turn up here all the time, but don"t particularly excite me!

Spanish metal detecting

Hello, enjoyed your post. I too have a relationship with Spain, having been stationed there in the late 1980s and marrying a Spainish national. About 5 years ago really got into metal detecting and have been wanting to hunt Spain now with a passion. The family visited the inlaws around Madrid last summer, brought detector but the ground was really dry and could not find permissions to dig. Need help in knowing where to hunt ! as to not upset the government too. Any feedback would be great.
