anyone know where I am able to buy a grizzly for 1/4" or 3/8" classification

Check the junk yards. You might find a refrigerator/stove shelf or BBQ grill that can be cut to suit your needs.

If you lay them criss-cross I have found that having the "horizontal" behind the "vertical" is the better option ... less hang-ups .

I was looking at this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OY91N90/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A2U3XBAMXKHMHK&psc=1
12"x17" ~0.1" welded wire with estimated 0.3" opening. $12.50 Might be a little weak to shovel bigger rocks directly onto, but should be fine to wash dirt over/thru.
