I've had a few requests to post everything from this site as a group. It is too much work to take everything out, so did my best to snap some shots, but I did pull the coins out.

This is from just the latest site and the result of a half dozen or so trips. The totals are:

  • 13 coins (4 cobs, 1 William III, 1 half penny, 1 roman coin, 1 early token, 1 seated dime, 1 half reale, 1 two reale, 2 cut pistareens)
  • 137 large caliber (.50-.72) musket balls and probably another 100 small pistol balls
  • 27 buttons
  • early keg spigot
  • trade and apocrathy weights
  • Various buckles and buckle pieces

It has been a good site and one I can't wait to get back to.

A cheap one until I can decide on a very good brand-name one to buy.

Is that a 1783 GEORGIVS TRIUMPHO token?

You've got some neat stuff.

Awesome assortment of early finds Dan. After having watched you make all these great finds this summer my motivation level for getting back out in the fields is quite high. Looking forward to getting out soon.

Excellent recoveries. Every time you put the coil over the ground you pull some great finds. I love seeing this type of stuff and it makes me want to get out right now.

Amazing all that was in the water. What is the range in water depth that you make most of your finds in? Also what is the stream bed like - rocks, sand, clay?
