You guessed it back to the pond, went for a couple hours 11 wheats not shown, 1 indian 1901, 1 v nickle 1911, 2 Barber quarters 1901,1902, a headless cowboy, a lipstick,a silver ring with stone,a junk ring blueish stone looks like a madona inside of stone, and i think someone got screwed on the class ring dated 1959 his name is Gavin and the ring is gold plated thats a first for me.. ive seen gold filled but never a gold plated, and part of an eight guage shotgun shell biggest ive found yet. thanks for looking

Those rings are so interesting to view; the stones are pretty!

I've never heard of a gold -plated class ring..that's unusual.

He definately got screwed on the class ring. I doubt the salesmen told him it was plated. Any markings on the band? That's a first for me to see. I have about 40 class rings and have never seen a fake like this one.
I do have fake gold wedding bands that look perfect.
Oh well, still some nice finds.

Funny when i scrape the crud off i see gold color but doesnt hold 10k acid maybe a lower karat maybe european? and the additives are what i see rotting away? any thoughts?

Plymouthian12 nice finds,you have to keep hitting that spot!!!

A few years back I found a ring in the salt water that was heavily encrusted, I treated it as a junker.
That winter I hit it with electrolysis to see what it was, There was a stamp on it 333 witch is 8k
I acid tested it with 10k acid. 80% of it dissolved very slow, and left a small residue that never dissolved.
