Had this worm in coral since I was little. What is it?

Just re-found this while unpacking old boxes!

I don't remember where I picked this up as a child but I carried it so much back then it's worn smooth! Was my lucky rock I guess you could say.

The rustyness was from somewhere I let it sit unfortunately. Not sure how I could remove it safely?

Never knew what it was really though! Any insight?
