Have you tried a “black light”form the 70’s in darkness? Nite time hunting with no moon and a dim headlamp is as tough of conditions I can think of.

That arrow head is cool. Thanks for posting the picture of the tree. I've never seen something like that before. I've seen ones that have been felled, but that one is so close to falling. I would set up a gopro and try and get a video of the beaver finishing the tree off.

Actually Fatz, I found that at night the shiny ones reflect the headlamp light back at you.
You also are forced to focus your attention to a smaller field of view. It’s not as bad as you would expect.

Not poaching points, just trying to stay sane during the winter months.

I have done it plenty. Get a black light and try looking. It’s hard to stay focused because everything glows in a whole different way.

Nope...at least not that I know of. Doppelgänger? Maybe, except I’d only drink that brew of beer to be polite.

I was just chiming in that hunting with a headlamp at night isn’t that bad, and clarifying why I’d be doing it so nobody jumped to conclusions. I can see why it was confusing.

By the way..Ridgerunner...what’s a “hafted dicer”?

Do you have any other pics of it?

I think the specimen on the left is a leaverlay and the the red piece is a Mumbai.
In my experience they are easiest to find in the dark.

I think you are absolutely correct. That point looks like a modern Indian agate point--made on a sawn slab.

nice point.

Dang beavers. I trap the rascal's in my woods which two creeks converge in. they drive me crazy. They can chew through a tree that size in an amazingly fast pace. I have had then chew down walnuts that size in a single day.
