Looked through 8k in halves this week, did fairly well..... i'm happy. 108 40%, 18 90% (4 were Bens). Also found some more of the stamped halves with the 1960 1980 thing, not sure what these are about. I assume honoring somebody that passed away in somebodies life or possible game to release into wild and turn back in for prizes /shrug. Felt like i covered the podium for the Half Dollar Olympics though, found a gold, silver and bronze hehe. Also found a 1982 no FG (but tossed it back into box since it wasn't in very good shape), another 1987D that was in nice shape, 3 clad proof coins, some Turkish coin that i tossed back into the boxes, but was same size as half dollar but looked aluminum, and a guitar pick. Think one of the 40% (1966) has double die look on the GOD on the obverse, i just rolled it up with the other 40%'ers didn't think it had any value in circulated condition, if i am wrong i may go dig it back out, but open to opinions on that.

Not sure about the error, but I would be ecstatic about a week like that.. Awesome haul..

People are hitting it big again, posting that silver porn, and I'm loving it! Great finds!

FAIRLY WELL??? You found more in one week than I have found all year!

Dang nice haul for 16boxes dude!!!!!

Hope my orders produce that well, although my sick CWR score should hold me over for a while

I hope they produce also....... wait...... hmm what district were you in again lol

I have no clue on districts, although I do know of atleast 3-4 other T-net'ers who all get from the same main source as I do.

I dont have any general idea of where you are located.

Also I do get those stamped halves, have atleast half a dozen of them, all gold ones though... no idea what they are about either

A coin electro-plated and stamped by the Collectors Society of America as a novelty to attract novice collectors.

When the title said Olympics I though that you were going to say that you had found a 1992 Olympic Commemorative. Great finds on those 40%'s & 90%'s. Interesting colored "Olympic medals" you have there. Hehe HH

They are supposed to recognize a 20th, 25th, etc... anniversary of Kennedy's Election or Assasination.

Don't throw back foreign coins!

1) There are key dates. You could be throwing away a coin worth $20-$30, even $500. Yes, they exist in aluminum too.
2) It's illegal. You can't pay with foreign knowingly.

I didn't find it CRHing, but I did score this key date Aussie coin for melt value at a coin shop & didn't even know it (til later when I looked it up). It's a 1918 M sixpence, only 900k minted. It's worth $50+ and I got it for $2!

I don't envy the work you had to do, but great score! An average of nearly 8 silvers per box is great, not to mention the proofs and other stuff.

I also found an '87D is great condition this weekend. I already had a nice one in my halves album, so don't need it for the collection. Are they worth keeping?
