the post -2001 coins are harder to find than the silver ones - at least based on my experiene over the past few years.
I had a nice small score myself just this morning when I stopped at my bank on my way to work to dump $40 in nickels and cents and I got $2.50 in halves and scored a 1968. These small scores add up over time.

I've noticed the opposite. I've got a couple rolls of post-2001 NIFC. Still haven't got a full roll of silver.
