Hi everyone, I went back to that hunted Fairground that I hit last time and pulled many more good items. I think I spent 5 hours at the fairground that day and near the end it was almost impossible to even find a signal. All of the good finds were near the edges of the ball diamond and everywhere else was already hunted out with no signals to speak of. Once I arrived at the grounds I already knew that I would start at the outside of the field and work inward. After about 30 seconds of swinging I hit a solid 12:12 signal at about 5 inches. I was thinking about passing it up like I normally do but remembered that a low tone like this could be a Buffalo nickel so I decided to give it a shot and dug the signal. I located the target and saw that it was a coin. I stared to become excited because the coin looked old. I picked it up and saw lady Liberty staring right back at me! It was a 1912 V nickel my first one ever!!! I then was very optimistic for the rest of the hunt and started pulling wheats and George cents. Then about 5 minutes later I stumbled onto a 12:36 tone and dug it. It was a large coin that I had never found before but it looked British. Once I got home and cleaned it up it turned out to be a 1095 British HALF PENNY!!! I could not believe it, it was my first one ever!! I continued on with the hunt and pulled 3 silver dimes (1959, 1949 and 1940). I next found a 1:43 tone at 7 inches and it was a bit choppy. I expected it might be some iron falsing but it turned out to be a 1913 quarter!!! I later found a 1922 J nickel which was also really choppy, a 1900 indian head cent and a 1893 indian head cent!!! I got 2 Large cents about one foot apart form each other. One being a 1920 and the other 1911. I also found my first cufflink which was gold plated and had a flower design. The final signal of the day was a solid 12:30 at about 5 inches. It turned out to be a tiny silver tag marked ster. It was an amazing hunt but I am now sure that almost every good find has been picked out of there and to prove it I went back 2 more times and the only good find was a 1939 dime and a few cents from the 40s. It turned out to be a great day with lots of firsts and now I must find a new hunting site. Good Luck and HH! Here is a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E15Q4X2u...bAGfuzJgwg

Looks like you had an excellent hunt! Some great finds! I would keep working that fairgrounds until the finds dried up.

Some nice Canadian coins there. Especially like the 1913 Quarter. I recently found a 1913 Canadian nickel in a park.

Nice array of different coins. The 1912-S V nickel is a key date.

Not much wrong with those finds

The term J nickel probably will be lost on 99.99% of the posters here on this site; unless of course they know Judy and the origin of the " Jnickel " term or the story behind it... keep them guessing
