Hammer stone?

You'll get both yes and no opinions. Doesn't look like a hammerstone, but does appear to be fractured river cobble. Fractured by the hand of man or by nature...who knows? But you say found at a spring site littered with flakes and blade core. Keep looking. If the site is a little above the surrounding area, it is likely the cobble didn't roll up hill where you found it.

Thanks for the responses. What really caught my eye is that instead of a clean fracture, it seems to have been heavily pecked as though it was used to pound.
